A quick visit to my alma mater
Sometimes there’s a wedding within your family. In this case my wife’s cousin was getting married and their celebration was held across the river from my alma mater, West Point. So we packed the car and drove north for a few days to enjoy the wedding and to check out my rock-bound highland home. The photos here show a unique view of West Point from across the Hudson River. There we enjoyed a delicious meal al fresco. And the next day we toured the West Point grounds and visited the West Point Museum. The random photos capture images from my undergraduate education — studying the art of war and learning about the various technologies which shape past and present weaponry. I was also surprised to see a photo of Superintendent Goodpaster along with Red Skelton the comedian who entertained us one fine Saturday evening at Eisenhower Hall. The thought of watching Clem Kadiddlehopper and being entertained by two seagulls Gertrude and Heathcliffe still bring a smile and a laugh.
